Clippers’ Patrick Beverly Leaves the Orlando Bubble For Personal Reasons

Itsrosegold_Admin | July 23, 2020

Los Angeles Clippers are going to be without their starting point guard as the NBA Orlando bubble is about to begin soon.

Patrick Beverley left the team on Tuesday for a personal emergency matter, as ESPN’s Malika Andrews first reported.

According to the NBA’s restart handbook, if Beverley has daily negative coronavirus tests while away (or for the last seven days before his return), then he will be quarantined just four days upon his return. If he is not tested he faces a 10-day quarantine upon his return.

Beverley averages 7.9 points and 5.4 assists a game for the Clippers, but his real value comes in being the team’s defense and intensity on the court.

While Beverley is away from the team, expect Reggie Jackson so get the starting point guard role for the Clippers.

The Clippers are without several players currently. In addition to Montrezl Harrell and Beverley, Ivica Zubac and Landry Shamet have not yet joined the team.

The Clippers will have to weather the storm early as the team is still one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship in the bubble.

The Clippers begin their NBA restart schedule against the Los Angeles Lakers on July 30th.
