The NBA and Philadelphia 76ers’ Al Horford, has partnered with UnidosUS to combat COVID-19. The NBA’s latest campaign, NBA Together, is the leaguewide, global community outreach and social engagement campaign. It supports, engages, educates and inspires youth, families, fans and the general public. In its latest PSA, Horford shines awareness on the impact the global pandemic has on the world, especially in communities of color. The partnership also ensures that those underserved communities will receive the information, resources, and support needed to restore their livelihood.
“The Coronavirus is affecting everyone, everywhere,” says the 5-time NBA All-Star. “But in communities of color, this pandemic amplifies the real-life consequences of pre-existing social and economic inequalities.”
